We are really impressed with how you have converted the Old School. It was a pleasure to stay here for three nights in such comfort with all the equipment one could wish for. We are sorry we were not able to meet you, but maybe another time! Wishing you continued success here. We’ll always remember where we were when we learned of the birth of our 2nd grandchild (1st granddaughter) – we received a text at 3.30am today!

This is a wonderful place. We have enjoyed our stay very much: lovely walks, great landscapes, nice people… the Ceilidh night on Wednesday was fantastic. Thank you very much Bill!! It has also been a pleasure to have breakfast at the Wild Rowan Café. It is difficult to find places like this nowadays. We look forward to coming back soon!

Excellent accommodation and setting; fantastic cycling, walking and boating. Enjoyed Loch Etive Cruise with Donald, Inveraray Castle, Cruachan Power Station, took the Fort William – Mallaig train (from Harry Potter) and enjoyed the trails for the family at Inverawe Fishery/Smokery. Gorgeous week – good luck in getting our weather again.

Excellent weather for a peaceful stay at such a beautiful, tranquil location. Our hosts Chris and Carol were most helpful with local information and our cocker spaniels loved the hikes too – so much so that they slept so well. Would recommend “The Old School” anytime.

Arriving with 23C on the 22nd May. And lots of sunshine for most of the week following. The Old School is an oasis of rest and quietness and offered us excellent comfort to come back to from our climb up Ben Cruachan on the 24th and the following forest walk and sight-seeing visits to Oban, Lochgilphead etc. Thanks Carol and Chris for your hospitality!
