 If you are not in a hurry, there’s no better way to explore the area than by bike. You can hire bikes from in Lochgilphead or Oban and choose between easy, intermediate and difficult routes on tracks or road. The area around these holiday apartments is excellent for exploring by bike. One popular day out is the ride along the Crinan Canal from Lochgilphead to Crinan, which is suitable for the whole family. The Dalavich to Lochgilphead run is a more energetic 2-hour stretch. Or you can cycle from Dalavich to Kilmartin and stop at the museum, pub or café there for a break.
And if a bike is your sporting passion rather than your mode of transport, there are plenty of lochside and forest trails in the area around The Old School.
